Current Events: Irony of Reality

Isn't it juicy when irony hits home!

Current situation: Staffers talk about first meeting with Al Jazeera

This is a pretty big deal but it was soft-peddled on the MSM.  So Rupert's rag had to report on it.  But then, who else* will?

Ominously missing was the creator of Current, the self proclaimed inventor of the Internet and savior of clean energy, Al Gore, although his partner, Joel Hyatt, stood proudly with the Al Jazeera honchos.

....
“Of course Al didn’t show up,” said one high placed Current staffer. “He has no credibility.
“He’s supposed to be the face of clean energy and just sold [the channel] to very big oil, the emir of Qatar! Current never even took big oil advertising—and Al Gore, that bulls***ter sells to the emir?”
I'm pretty sure that guy already knew that 'no credibility' part.

It will be great to see the over/under on the editorial stance on US domestic energy.  Lefties and climate research trough feeders still claim that either or both Big Oil Companies or the Koch Bros are funding climate skeptics though they have to make up shit (as in the AEI debacle) to do it.  Amazingly they haven't found a tie between skeptics and Middle East oil.

Wonder why?  snicker.

I'm thinking enviro's opposing US pipelines, oil sands and fracking now have a, sorry... ANOTHER.. domestic voice.. which everyone will continue to ignore.

One person at the meeting, who has already announced that she’s leaving, former Michigan Gov. Jennifer Granholm, tried to ask about severance packages for those who wouldn’t be staying.“This isn’t the place to discuss this!” Hyatt barked at her.
“After that, everyone kept their questions pretty much to themselves,” according to the staff member.

Well, Guvner, .... and other staff about to be declared flotsam ...  you wont be happy with that bye-bye check, if you even get one.

"I'm pettyfog and you have my word on it."

*Of course, the Business Media had to report on the sale, itself.. with similar chuckles:

Note:  Since Gore dismissed Glenn Beck's bid with no serious consideration, it seems Carbon hypocrisy trumps Political hypocrisy.   Obviously Beck would never have given him $500 M
